Lee went on to feature 93 times for the club and he was part of the squad that won the League Cup in 2008, which was the last time Spurs won a trophy.

The South Korean international then departed for Borussia Dortmund before going on to play for Al-Hilal and Vancouver Whitecaps.

He hung up his boots in 2013 and he has since forged a career on TV in his homeland.

The 46-year-old has starred in a plethora of sports-based and reality shows over the last decade.

Lee’s TV debut came in Our Neighbourhood Arts and Physical Education as ex-professionals compete against members of the public.

He then went on hit reality programme Law of the Jungle, which sees a group of famous faces battle to survive in tough locations around the world.

Lee also had a role in Fly Shoot Dori, playing himself and coaching young children football.

But the retired hero won an award for his work in the show Shooting Stars.
