THIS iconic stadium looks unrecognisable with a crane on the pitch and every single seat REMOVED.
Barcelona’s Nou Camp is one of the most celebrated arenas in world football.
First built in 1957, it’s played host to numerous legendary matches in front of a bumper crowd of nearly 100,000 people.
However, Barcelona are not playing at the Nou Camp this term.
That’s because construction work has begun to renovate it into a stadium fit for the modern era.
Building work started in June, with a £1billion project expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2025/26 campaign.

Barcelona have already unveiled CGI plans of how the Nou Camp will eventually look, with plans to expand the seating to 105,000 while adding a roof.
They have now moved into the 55,000 seater Estadi Lluis Companys, which hosted the 1992 Olympics.
But in the meantime, Barca’s old stadium looks a shadow of its former self.
The green grass of the field has been completely removed, leaving behind gravel and concrete.

A video showed a large crane in the centre of the field, with numerous trucks and diggers driving around.
Most notably, the stands are now completely grey after every single seat was ripped up.
They are now being sold to fans as memorabilia.
And the outside of the Nou Camp also looked barren, with the surrounding earth completely dug up.
Fans reacted online to the latest video, with many predicting Barcelona’s new Nou Camp will be the best stadium around once completed.
One said: “Nou Camp will be the best stadium in the world.”
Another declared: “Biggest stadium on earth. Forca Barca.”
One noted: “It’s so grand, don’t you think?”
Another added: “Nice, we need our Nou Camp back as soon as possible.”
