MASON Greenwood’s move to a Spanish club has sparked a hypocrisy row linked to the Women’s World Cup kiss scandal.
The Manchester United player has been loaned to Getafe — whose president has now been branded “two-faced” by football fans.
Angel Torres, 71, was one of the first to condemn the “deplorable” behaviour of Spanish football chief Luis Rubiales, who kissed player Jenni Hermoso on the lips at the World Cup presentation.
Yet he agreed to take on Greenwood, 21 — who was arrested last year on suspicion of attempted rape, assault and coercive control.
All charges were dropped in February, but United axed him from their squad after an internal investigation — amid pressure from fans and domestic abuse campaigners.
Now Torres has been called out by footie fans on social media.

One accused him of “unreal hypocrisy”.
Another said: “Torres said Rubiales could not stay ‘a minute more’ in his post. Same guy just signed Greenwood.”
A third added: “Torres believes that Greenwood deserves a second chance but not Rubiales.”
