How many England games will Luke Shaw miss through suspension?

Southgates’ first-choice left-back will serve a one-match suspension following his two yellow cards against Italy.

This means Shaw will be unavailable for England’s next Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine on Sunday, March 26.

The Three Lions boss will have a selection headache as he will now need to pick a replacement at left-back.

Likely candidates are Ben Chilwell or right-back Kieran Trippier, who is comfortable filling in on his less preferred side.

Shaw is expected to return to Carrington in the coming days and link up with his United teammates who aren’t currently on international duty.

The Red Devils have a crucial top-4 clash against Newcastle at St James’ Park on Sunday, April 2.
