GARY LINEKER, Alan Shearer and Mark Hughes received a signed Wrexham shirt as Ryan Reynolds revealed his premier League dream for the Welsh club.
The Hollywood superstar and fellow actor Rob McElhenney bought the non-league side for £2million in 2021.
And they have become a huge hit worldwide since the takeover despite missing out on promotion after the TV documentary “Welcome to Wrexham” went global.
Reynolds flew in from America especially for today’s FA Cup fourth round clash with Sheffield United, which finished in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

“It has been the greatest experience of my entire life, not withstanding my family. It’s going to be multi-decade project, and everything it entails is just magic. We wanted to get involved.
“We looked at a bunch of different clubs but Wrexham just spoke to us, the club was already perfect, it just needed a bit of awareness.

“Realistically the fact that we’re in this church, if I were Sheffield United, I’d be taking this game very seriously.”
Reynolds, who was spotted handing a signed Wrexham shirt to the BBC Match of the Day boys before the interview, added: “We sold 24,000 jerseys this year.
“So many went to North America and Canada. It’s been amazing. The reception overseas has been the most surprising thing. The part that I find most gratifying is the support from outside the club, Wrexham has become a tourist destination.
“I’m pacing around like a caged lion. This is an extraordinary day. It’s a classic David versus Goliath story. This is football, anything can happen.”
Hughes, a former Wales international, echoed the views of Reynolds and said: “The impact the guys have had since they came in has been phenomenal.
“I’m a Wrexham boy, I’m from down the road, and everyone has been talking about it, everyone’s delighted.”
