27 years on, he has ditched the iconic look which fans knew him by during his playing days.

As Germany’s main man in attack, the ex-Roma forward sported a curly blonde mullet and impressive moustache.

However, he has since swapped his blonde locks for a more reserved grey look.

His slicked down hairdo is also paired with a short grey beard.

After working in several roles with his former club Bayer Leverkusen, the ex-striker is now a part of the national team set-up.

He was appointed Germany’s sporting director back in February.

Prior to taking up the role, he had briefly been an advisor for the national team following their World Cup exit last year.

During his career, he scored 47 goals in 90 caps for Germany and won the World Cup in 1990.

That tournament also saw him receive a red card against the Netherlands after being spat at by Frank Rijkaard.

Still not sure who he is? It is none other than Champions League winner Rudi Voller.

The Flying German won the first edition of the tournament following its rebranding with Marseille in 1993.

Over the course of his club career, he scored over 300 goals and also played for German side Werder Bremen as well as having spells in Italy and France.
