Neville and Carragher both think that the Premier League will be too challenging for newly-promoted sides Luton Town and Sheffield United.

Speaking on The Overlap, the Liverpool legend was asked which teams are destined for the drop.

Without hesitation, he replied: “Sheffield United definitely and I would say Luton.”

Neville interjected: “I would too.”

Carragher then suggested that Wolves could join them in the bottom three come the end of the season.

The Midlands-based club have just parted ways with manager Julen Lopetegui due to him becoming frustrated with the club’s transfer business amid FFP issues.

Wolves have seen Ruben Neves, Nathan Collins, Raul Jimenez and Conor Coady all leave with just free agents Matt Doherty and Tom King signed.

Gary O’Neil is set to be appointed as the new boss.

Carragher predicted that Lopetegui would walk before the news broke yesterday and he added: “They’re not bringing players in, I think there will be a massive disconnect behind the scenes. I think Wolves could go down.”

Neville disagreed, responding: “I think the Wolves ownership are connected to the right agents and might get players in on loan.”

He stated that he thinks Bournemouth will get relegated instead of them.

The Cherries avoided the drop by five points last season and have a new manager in Andoni Iraola.

Meanwhile, Neville predicted that Arsenal will edge Manchester City to the title.
