DJ STURRIDGE is hoping to follow in some famous family footsteps by clinching a deal with Championship strugglers Huddersfield.
The 22-year-old forward has impressed with three goals in two B team games after leaving Aston Villa.
DJ’s dad is ex-Wolves and Derby sharp-shooter Dean, while his cousin is former England and Liverpool No 9 Daniel.
Huddersfield are in desperate need of more firepower as they are one of the lowest scorers in the league.
The Terriers have only managed to find the back of the net 14 times, which is the fourth-worst record.
Centre-back Michal Helik is the club’s top scorer so far this season with four goals, while Jack Rudoni is second with three.

Kian Harratt is the most prolific striker at the club but has only managed two goals in 14 appearances.
The lack of goals has seen the club struggle in the Championship this season, currently sitting 21st after 14 games.
The Yorkshire side did start the season with Neil Warnock as manager.
However, the veteran football coach left his position in September after a poor run of form.

Former Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore was quickly appointed in his place.
DJ Sturridge left Villa in July after his contract expired.
He made 17 appearances for the club at various levels and netted two and assisted three goals.
If he was able to develop to become a similar player to his cousin Daniel, then Huddersfield would have a great player.
The former England international starred for the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Bolton and Manchester City during his playing career.
He finished his career with 77 goals and 29 assists in 218 Premier League appearances.
