Forgotten Tottenham flop’s loan contract ‘could be ripped up’ after furious late-night burger row

FORGOTTEN Tottenham star Tanguy Ndombele may see his loan contract at Galatasaray ripped up after rowing with the manager about a BURGER.

The Turkish side’s boss was furious with the Frenchman for ordering a late-night burger at the team’s hotel after losing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Having made a sluggish start in Turkey, Ndombele, 26, reportedly found himself involved in a late-night bust-up with Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk.

Buruk, it’s claimed, was already furious with the Spurs loanee, who is Tottenham’s record £63million signing, over an alleged 6kg weight gain.

Turkish outlets Fotospor and Kamu Son Haber report that Ndombele has indulged in junk food at his house and ordered a burger to his hotel room following the recent 3-1 defeat to the German champions.

The reports claim the midfielder has been following a dietary programme at the club.

But the Galatasaray chief will not pick Ndombele until he drops his weight to 75kg, it’s claimed.

The midfielder, who signed to the Super Lig side after struggling in North London, was left out of the Galatasaray squad for Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Rizespor.

Buruk is said to be enraged with Ndombele for his alleged fast food indulgences and the club is said to be considering terminating his loan deal.

But having played just 93 minutes since his arrival in the Turkish capital – there has been speculation his time at the club could come to an end in January.

This would be bad news for Spurs who would find themselves back to square one looking for an exit route for the midfielder.

His fitness had been of concern prior to his move to Galatasaray as Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed in the summer.

He told Football.London: “The way we play there’s a bit that I need to be strong on and that is that you’ve got to be at a certain physical level to play this kind of football”.

The Aussie and Buruk are not the first to spot Ndombele’s weight problems as ex-Spurs manager Jose Mourinho publically called him out.

While ex-Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit in 2020 slammed the midfielder and claimed he was overweight.

In contrast, Ndombele’s former Spurs team-mate Davinson Sanchez, who joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal in the summer has been a regular starter in their defence.
