UKRAINIAN defender Oleh Danchenko’s heart stopped in training before miraculously being resuscitated.
The 28-year-old, on loan at Zorya Luhansk from AEK Athens, was at a training camp in Turkey when the horrific incident occurred.
Danchenko, who has played in the Champions League for Shakhtar Donetsk, collapsed to the ground and suffered a cardiac arrest as medical staff rushed to his aid.
According to Skai, the staff of an Austrian team at the scene had a defibrillator on hand to use on Danchenko.
But for some time it did not appear to be working as he laid “dead” without a pulse.
