A FOOTBALL MANAGER player has been offered the chance to take up a role at a real football club.
Bromley FC have joined up with Football Manager and Xbox to give one fan the opportunity to swap the console for the pitch.
The National League outfit have launched the ‘The Everyday Tactician’ campaign to find a player of the manager simulator to assist boss Andy Woodman.
The winner would join up with the manager’s coaching staff on a five-month stint as they aim to win promotion to League Two for the first time in the club’s history.
Woodman has insisted that the campaign is not a “gimmick” and is keen to see what they can bring to the club.
He told the Daily Mail: “This is a real opportunity and when it was presented to me to get someone into our coaching team and be alongside us with the tactics, I thought it was a brilliant idea. I really, really did.

“I’ll make them feel welcome very early on that they do feel part of the team and then the next step is then to let them have their voice and their opinions and be a part of us.”
Bromley are 4th in the National League after 19 games as they challenge for promotion.
The person who wins the opportunity will be handed the title “Support Performance Tactician”.

Their tactics will be put forward for the players to implement should Woodman agree with them.
This would see players such as Mitchel Bergkamp, son of Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp, try to carry them out.
Woodman believed that the person could “add value” to the coaching staff for the remainder of the season.
The winner of the opportunity will be picked from those who apply by gaining the achievement “Championes” on FM24.
This is earned by picking a team and winning a domestic league title.
The experience of the player at the club will be documented and released in a three-part series next year.
