And while his team were drawing 1-1 with Liverpool at the Etihad on Saturday, De Bruyne was in the Middle East for the final weekend of the Formula 1 season – with Max Verstappen winning the Abu Dhabi GP.

But a video emerged of the Belgium playmaker in a less than comfortable situation.

At the start of the short clip, TikTok star Noelgoescrazy pretends to steal a Man City shirt from De Bruyne.

The footballer then acts as if he is annoyed as he gets up out of his seat.

But they then proceed to dance together as fans reacted to the hilarious video.

One said: “THEY MADE KDB DANCE IM HOWLING.”

Another added: “HE’S SO STUPIDLY ADORABLE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.”

A third replied: “😭😭😭 i love him.”

Meanwhile, De Bruyne also offered an update on his recovery as he eyes a return to the pitch.

He said: “It’s going well [the recovery], getting along. Still got a little way to go, but we’ll be there.”

Pressed on when he will be ready to come back, he then added: “Hopefully something close after the New Year, if everything goes well.”
