FORMER Premier League manager Nathan Jones was spotted having an in-depth discussion with Brentford signing Neal Maupay at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Maupay joined the Bees on a season-long loan from Everton on transfer deadline day.
And the striker attended Saturday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth as he watched from the stands.
However, Brentford fans were left baffled as the Frenchman was sat next to former Southampton manager Jones, who carried a “book full of notes” during the 2-2 draw with the Cherries.
One fan tweeted: “Wtf was Nathan Jones doing with Maupay at Brentford?”
Another commented: “Just seen Nathan Jones at the Brentford game talking to Neil [sic] Maupay??”

A third posted: “Nathan Jones sat next to Maupay, what the hell?”
This fan said: “Nathan Jones with a book full of notes deep in conversation with Neal Maupay at the Brentford game. Any ideas?”
And that one wondered: “Maupay I get since he was there before and did well, lucky to get the move though. Nathan jones is just bizarre though!”
Jones has been a free agent ever since his dismissal from Southampton in February.
