Ex-Football Manager wonderkid ‘arrested on suspicion of assaulting ex-girlfriend as house raided by cops’

A DUTCH football star has allegedly been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

As reported by De Gelderlander in Holland, the footballer is being accused of abusing his partner – although police are yet to confirm details.

The article adds that cops raided his house on Monday as part of the search and investigation.

A police spokesperson declined to confirm Ihattaren had been handcuffed but told the Dutch news outlet: “You don’t just get arrested. This is about someone who often does something.

“The raid often happens when someone is suspected of such a criminal offence.”

The front door of the property, 35km south of Amsterdam in Utrecht, was forced open with a sign saying the new key is available for the midfielder to collect from the police station.

Ihattaren’s lawyer declined to comment to De Gelderlander with his client still being detained, the report adds.

It is understood the alleged trouble relates to his on-off partner and TikTok star Yasmine – although it remains unclear whether or not they are currently together.

The pair were briefly married last year but are said to have broken up again within six weeks.

Ihattaren was arrested and charged in his homeland in November 2022 for “making threats” in an unrelated event.

That came after he missed Ajax’s pre-season tour last summer because he was given time off after being “threatened and intimidated” in a blackmail plot.

In September, two days after marrying Yasmine, Ihattaren’s £73,000 Porsche Panamera was torched at around 3am as he continued to be targeted by criminal gangsters.

The ex-PSV youth product was considered a Football Manager wonderkid with high hopes for a successful career.

But his whole life has taken a tragic spiral downward since his father sadly passed away with cancer in 2019, prompting the player to suffer with depression and consider retirement as a teenager.

Ihattaren joined Juventus for £5million in 2021 but is yet to make an appearance for the club.

The former Dutch Under-19 star is under contract until the summer of 2025 but is currently on permitted leave to be back in the Netherlands with his career back in major jeopardy.

He had a failed loan spell at Sampdoria where he did not get on the pitch after skipping training and eventually going AWOL.

Then his loan move to Ajax also collapsed with the Dutch giants sending him back early.

Wesley Sneijder tried to take him under his wing at Ajax but that mentorship lasted just two weeks, with the ex-Real Madrid star saying: “It’s not really going well, no, it’s going to be a difficult story.

“He was serious about it for two days and then it got less.”
