ONLY three players survive from the last England team to play Australia.
Manchester United star Marcus Rashford scored his first Three Lions goal against the Aussies in the Stadium of Light clash, which took place shortly before Euro 2016.
Jordan Henderson and John Stones were also named in the starting line-up but the latter could be on the bench tonight after only playing 22 minutes of football since the Community Shield.
Harry Kane and Kyle Walker were unused substitutes for the match, with Roy Hodgson picking a rather inexperienced eleven.
One player from the starting line-up has since retired while TWO others are now unemployed after dropping out of the Premier League.
Here SunSport takes a look at the players who helped England to a 2-1 win over the Socceroos ahead of Australia’s return to UK soil this evening…

GK – Fraser Forster
A rare cap for the Tottenham keeper and likely his last-ever game for the Three Lions.
He was substituted for Tom Heaton who won his one and only England cap – the pair both went to the Euros as back-ups to Joe Hart.
RB – Nathaniel Clyne
Clyne was another player given a rare opportunity to impress by Hodgson, with Walker dropping to the bench.
The defender last played for England in November 2016 and has made just one Prem appearance for Crystal Palace this season.

CB – Chris Smalling
The former United defender was a regular in the England squad until Gareth Southgate took over and even captained the team against Australia.
Smalling has resurrected his career at Roma and won a lot of plaudits in Italy, but he is unlikely to force his way back into Southgate’s plans.
CB – John Stones
Stones is now one of the most highly-rated defenders in the world but he had made just three competitive appearances for England by the time Australia rolled around.
He went to the Euros but failed to make an appearance with Hodgson preferring Smalling and Gary Cahill. Stones now has 67 caps under his belt and is one of England’s most important players.
LB – Ryan Bertrand
Bertrand played in the final as Chelsea won the Champions League in 2012 but his best years came at Southampton.
His terrific form for the Saints earned him a recall to the national team after making two substitute appearances while still with the Blues.
He was a regular in the squad between 2015 and 2017 but aged 34 he is now without a club after leaving Leicester in the summer.
DM – Jack Wilshere
The former Arsenal star is the only player in the starting line-up who is now retired.
Wilshere was a controversial selection for Euro 2016 due to his injury issues, which forced him into an early retirement aged only 30 last year.
CM – Danny Drinkwater
Drinkwater enjoyed a career high in 2016 as he won the Premier League with Leicester and subsequently earned his first England cap.
The Australia match was the last of the midfielder’s three international appearances as his career spiralled.
He is now unattached following disastrous spells at Chelsea and Burnley, where he was arrested for drink driving after crashing his car.
CM – Jordan Henderson
The midfielder has maintained his place in Southgate’s squad despite his summer move to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ettifaq.
He was in and out of the side under Hodgson and played just once in the Euros despite appearing in several warm-up games.
AM – Adam Lallana
Lallana enjoyed his best form for club and country in 2016 and was one of the few players to come out of the Euros with any credit.
However he soon lost his place in the England team because of the emergence of Dele Alli and Jesse Lingard, who impressed under Southgate.
ST – Raheem Sterling
The Chelsea star has found himself out of the England squad in recent months but he was one of the first names on the teamsheet in 2016.
Sterling grabbed an assist for substitute Wayne Rooney’s winner in 2016 but will have to improve his club form if he is to go to Euro 2024.

ST – Marcus Rashford
The striker scored his first England goal against Ange Postecoglou’s Socceroos and did enough to be included in the Euros squad.
Rashford has never missed a major tournament since and although he is not always first choice, he could start at Wembley tonight.
