ENGLAND will host Australia at Wembley on Friday night in a tasty international friendly.

The two sides have not met for over seven years, with the last meeting coming before the 2016 Euros.

England overcame Ange Postecoglu’s Australia 2-1 at the Stadium of Light back in 2016 with goals from Marcus Rashford and Wayne Rooney.

The Three Lions last played on September 12th, claiming a 3-1 win over rivals Scotland at Hampton Park.

Gareth Southgate’s side could qualify for Euro 2024 with a win against Italy next week, but not before their meeting with the Socceroos.

When is England vs Australia?

Gareth Southgate is likely to play some of the Three Lions’ fringe players with the likes of Levi Colwill, Eddie Nketiah and Ollie Watkins expected to feature.

For Australia, midfielder Jackson Irvine is likely to play after returning from an ankle injury.
