GARETH SOUTHGATE is considering calling up Levi Colwill to his next England squad, according to reports.
The Three Lions are set to take on Italy and Ukraine in Euro 2024 qualifiers in March.
Colwill could be included in the squad after impressing Southgate with his performances for Brighton, report The Athletic.
The defender is on loan at the Seagulls from Chelsea and though he has had to remain patient for game time, he has started each of Brighton’s last five league games.
Brighton thrashed Liverpool 3-0 on Saturday and have also beaten Everton and Southampton heavily in recent weeks.
And Colwill’s form has not gone unnoticed by Southgate or his coaching staff, who are on the lookout for a left-sided centre-back to offer a different option to Harry Maguire.

Colwill fits the mould and has the added advantage of progressing through England’s international pathway, representing his country at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels.
The 19-year-old was not part of Southgate’s 55-man shortlist for the World Cup,
But with the England boss set to consider younger options ahead of the Euro 2024 qualification campaign, Colwill could get his chance.
Young Manchester City right-back Rico Lewis is also reportedly under consideration by Southgate after breaking through at the Etihad.
