TOTTENHAM new boys Alejo Veliz and Ashley Phillips were named in the club’s Under-21 squad for their EFL Trophy clash with Colchester United on Tuesday.
Veliz, 20, joined the Lilywhites in a £12million transfer from Rosario Central last month, while Phillips, 18, completed a £3m switch from Blackburn just a few days before.
Both players are yet to make a senior appearance for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
But they have already been introduced to the U21’s.
Phillips was named in the starting line-up ahead of Tuesday’s match against Colchester, while Veliz had a spot on the bench.
And eagle-eyed fans were surprised to see the duo involved.
