OBSERVANT fans spotted Manchester City’s cult hero kitman rescuing Ederson from a possible red card.
Off-field icon Brandon Ashton produced a brilliant save himself when he raced over to have a word with the City keeper during Saturday’s fiery 2-0 home win over Nottingham Forest.
Supporters labelled Ashton an “essential part” of the club and a “f***ing legend” for intervening to help the Brazilian.
He was behind the goal when he noticed Ederson dawdling as he carried the ball forward in his hands.
Ashton cupped his hands to remind the stopper he’d already been booked.
Ederson had picked up that yellow card just before the hour as 10-man City battled to hold onto their 2-0 lead.
