FORMER Barcelona star Arturo Vidal was rushed to hospital after suffering an injury against Colombia.
The midfielder was placed onto a gurney and put into the back of an ambulance.
He managed to smile at the camera as fans gathered to take videos of the stricken star.
Vidal, 36, suffered a knee injury playing for Chile in their World Cup qualifier clash against Colombia, which ended 0-0.
The former Inter Milan star challenged for the ball with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz and appeared to twist his knee, causing Vidal to pull up.
He received medical treatment on the pitch before being taken away on a cart.

Vidal lay on the vehicle and appeared to be in a lot of pain before being transported to hospital.
Chile have confirmed the veteran suffered an acute traumatic meniscal injury.
He will undergo surgery today and receive further treatment from the Chilean medical team.
It is a blow for Vidal who could face up to several months on the sidelines as he recuperates from his injury.

He has 141 Chile caps but may be unable to help them in their World Cup qualifying bid with games against Peru, Venezuela, Paraguay and Ecuador coming up in autumn.
Vidal has suffered several injuries in recent years with one significant knee problem keeping him out of action for several weeks in 2018 while he played for Bayern Munich.
