Dele Alli breaks silence as Besiktas chief appears to accuse him of going AWOL days after meeting with Kim Kardashian

DELE Alli has spoken out after Besiktas manager Senol Gunes appeared to accuse him of going AWOL from training.

The former Tottenham favourite was reportedly recently banished from the Turkish side’s playing squad after failing to impress his boss.

The on-loan Everton man has been largely frozen out of the team ever since Gunes took over from Valerien Ismael.

Chatting to the press about his squad after training today, the Besiktas boss appeared to take a cheeky pop at Alli, saying: “We hope that Tayyip Talha will recover in ten days.

“Rosier will start training next week and Gedson will start training at the weekend.

“Dele Alli, whom we have allowed, has not come yet. It must be raining, we are trying to get news.”

The 26-year-old former England star met Kim Kardashian last Friday.

Dele had his picture taken with Kim’s seven-year-old son Saint, the morning after she had taken her boy to watch Arsenal’s Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon at Emirates Stadium.

Dele tried to clarify the situation regarding his absence on Instagram this evening and said Besiktas had allowed him to visit the doctor.

He wrote: “Hey guys, just had loads of messages so wanted to clear something up.

“The club gave me permission to attend a doctor’s appointment today. I’m due back in training tomorrow as normal.”

Turkish outlet Takvim states that Gunes will not include him in any matchday squads for the remainder of the season and that he has been told he will watch from the stands until he can return to Everton.

Dele left Spurs for Everton in January 2022.

He helped the Toffees survive the drop last season, before being ditched by Frank Lampard’s side last August after two sub appearances this term.

The former two-time PFA Young Player of the Year arrived in Turkey to much fanfare, but has struggled to make much of an impact.

He has made 15 appearances for the Turkish giants, scoring three times.

Dele has not been included in Besiktas’ matchday squad for their last three matches.

His last appearance was a start against Antalyaspor on February 26, during which he was substituted at half-time.
