De Gea remains a free agent after leaving the Red Devils in the summer.

He left Old Trafford when his contract expired at the end of June, bringing to an end his 12 years with the club.

Despite being linked with several teams in the months since, the 33-year-old remains unemployed.

Al-Ettifaq are the latest club to stake an interest in De Gea, with Steven Gerrard reportedly plotting a move for the Spaniard.

De Gea and Edurne have been together for over a decade, having started dating in 2010.

The pair tied the knot earlier this year after welcoming their first child two years ago.

United fans have been keen for De Gea to return to the club after several notable errors from his replacement Andre Onana.

De Gea has even teased supporters after posing with former team-mate Bruno Fernandes for a recent snap.

The duo linked up to promote De Gea’s eSports team Rebels Gaming, which Fernandes is an investor in.
