A CRYSTAL Palace fan has died from severe brain injuries after he was hit by a bus.

Liam Foley was killed while celebrating his team’s win against Leicester City in Brixton, South London.

Liam was out with his brother Niall on April 1 when the tragic accident took place.

He spent four days on life support before he died.

His girlfriend Josephine Griffiths will be running the London Marathon in his memory.

In a heart-breaking social media post she described Liam as her “best friend” and “soulmate”.

She added: “Your passion for life was something else, the biggest yes man I knew. You really lived life to the fullest.”

Josephine will be raising funds for the Brain and Spine Foundation.

On her fundraiser, she wrote: “After my my boyfriend Liam recently passed away from significant brain injuries, this charity means so much more to me.

“This is in memory of him, and any donation you can make today will make a real difference to other loved ones affected by these kind of life changing conditions.”

A friend of Liam’s wrote: “We lost a wonderful friend, Liam will be missed and forever in our hearts. Jo you are incredible and we are all here to support you, I’ll be cheering you on from the sideline. All my love and more.”

Another person said: “I met Liam briefly and could instantly tell he was a kind, genuine guy and all round legend who will clearly be missed.”

Another added: “Thinking of you all at this terribly sad time. Jo you are so brave to be doing this so soon, but I know you will get the strength from carrying Liam with you in your heart.

“The legacy you are creating in his name will help many others in their time of need and I’m sure that will bring comfort, but I’m still amazed by your courage and fortitude.”
