CRISTIANO RONALDO’S debut for Al Nassr reportedly could be pushed back yet again as the club are exceeding the Saudi league’s quota for foreign players.
The Portuguese star was set to make his debut today, but it was called off due to heavy rainfall in Riyadh affecting their stadium’s electrical systems.
The match against Al Ta’i was in turn, rescheduled to take place tomorrow at Mrsool Park.
But now there could be another issue, as Al Nassr are unable to register Ronaldo as they have exceeded their foreign player quota.
This means that the club will have to either sell or sack one of their foreigners before the Portuguese star is able to play.
An Al Nassr official told AFP: “Al Nassr has not registered him yet because there is no vacancy for a foreign player.

“A foreign player must leave to register Ronaldo, either by selling or by terminating the contract by mutual consent.”
Al Nassr have eight foreign players registered, including former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, Cameroon’s World Cup star Vincent Aboubakar and former Brazil international Luiz Gustavo.
The rest are Argentina international Pity Martinez, Ivory Coast’s Ghislain Konan, Spanish defender Alvaro Gonzalez, Brazilian midfielder Talisca and Uzbekistan midfielder Jaloliddin Masharipov.
It is believed that the Uzbekistani is the likeliest player to have to find a new club, having only played once in the Saudi Pro League this season.
