FANS of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr were swarmed by a hoard of LOCUSTS midway through their latest match.

Al-Nassr travelled to Mecca on Thursday night for their Saudi Pro League match with Al-Wehda at the King Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium.

The stadium was packed to the rafters with footy fans eager to get a glimpse of five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo.

And it seemed that a swarm of locusts were also keen on seeing the former Manchester United man in action.

According to reports, an almost biblical swarm of locusts descended into the stadium midway through the match.

Photos on Twitter showed hundreds of grasshoppers all over fans and the seats.

Footy fans were quick to comment, with one saying: “Some might say there was a real buzzing atmosphere.”

Another said: “Even the locusts don’t want to miss the GOAT.”

And another said: “Even locusts couldn’t miss watching Ronaldo creating history.”

One remarked: “Where there is a goat, there will be flies.”

The locusts got to see Ronaldo turn in a history-making performance.

The Portugal international scored all four goals in his side’s 4-0 triumph to take his league career tally to 503.

The global superstar reflected on the momentous achievement on Instagram, writing: “Great feeling to have scored 4 goals and reaching my 500th league goal in a very solid win by the team!”

Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr team-mates will be back in action a week on Friday, welcoming Al-Taawoun to the King Saud University Stadium.
