It’s his third club in the sport, after playing for Guildford Phoenix and briefly training with NHL side Chicago Blackhawks.

The former Blues and Arsenal goalkeeper played junior hockey growing up in the Czech Republic.

And his latest match for the club saw a star performance from the former goalkeeper after he pulled off a remarkable 62 saves from 64 shots.

Oxford City Stars tweeted: “YOUR STARS MAN OF THE MATCH… Could have been a number of people, but with 62 saves from 64 shots on Goal, its #39 PETR CECH”

It was the second time Cech has won the accolade, having also won man of the match on his debut for the club.

The goalkeeper initially balanced his semi-professional ice hockey career alongside being a technical director at Chelsea.

But the goalkeeper did not make it beyond the Roman Abramovich era after being let go by Todd Boehly shortly after he took over.

A legendary goalkeeper for the Blues and later for Arsenal, Cech made 633 appearances in English football and picked up 14 trophies along the way.

Cech holds the record for keeping the most clean sheets in Premier League history with 202.

He also holds the record for the most clean sheets kept in a single season, 24, which he did with Chelsea in 2004/05 under Jose Mourinho.

He’s the only goalkeeper to win the Premier League’s golden glove with two different teams and was inducted into the Premier League’s hall of fame this year.
