MASON MOUNT was ruled out of the meeting with Manchester City after picking up an injury.
In a huge blow to boss Graham Potter, the 23-year-old missed tonight’s Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
It is currently unknown how serious Mount’s injury is.
The midfielder picked up an problem in training on Wednesday.
Boss Potter was tight-lipped when asked about Mount before the game, but referenced Chelsea’s ever growing injury list.
He said: “He suffered a kick in training yesterday. So it never rains but it pours, as they say.”

Raheem Sterling was then forced off just minutes into the game after picking up an injury.
He was soon followed by Christian Pulisic as Potter’s injury list gained another two names in a matter of minutes.
Jorginho joined Mount in dropping out of the side that drew at Forest, although the Italian midfielder was on the bench.
Mateo Kovavic and Hakim Ziyech went into the starting line up in their places.

Mount has been a key player for the Blues this season, starting 15 out of 16 games in the Prem.
He played 73 minutes before being substituted in the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
And he did not feature as the Blues tried to get back to winning ways against the champions.
Potter’s side started the game in 10th, ten points off Manchester United in fourth.
Opponents Manchester City made four changes to the side that stuttered to a 1-1 draw with Everton last time out.
Kyle Walker, Joao Cancelo, Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden came in, with Rico Lewis, Manuel Akanji, Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish dropping to the bench.
