Chelsea ‘had to BAN local business from selling to Eden Hazard in his first season at club’

CHELSEA had to ban a burger van outside Stamford Bridge from selling food to Eden Hazard during his first season at the club.

He spent seven years at Chelsea after arriving in 2012 and it was not long until he was tucking into the local delicacies.

According to reporter Matt Law, the owners of a burger van near Chelsea’s ground were told to stop taking Hazard’s custom.

Hazard made himself a big fan favourite at Chelsea and some supporters love him even more after hearing about his affection for junk food.

One fan wrote: “Hmm so burgers are the secret recipe to become a phenomenon 🤔”

Another added: “The guy we loved, love and will still love ❤️ Proper Chelsea 😅”

A third said: “He loved life man 😂 I love this dude”

And another commented: “Burgers pre-match, ghosting 4 players and scoring during the match ✅”

Hazard built a reputation for his laissez-faire attitude during his spell in west London with former Blues team-mate John Obi Mikel joking he was the laziest player he ever played with.

The former Real Madrid star once incurred the wrath of a Belgian mayor, who branded Hazard a “little fat man” after he stormed off during a Belgium match before going to a fast food restaurant to eat a burger.

But Hazard believes the incident helped to make him a Belgium legend.

He said: “That night, I did a stupid thing but the story of the hamburger, we talk about it in a joke, it’s in quotation marks what makes my legend with the selection [of Belgium].”

Hazard was even trolled by Burger King over his diet, with the fast food chain joking the winger once missed training to take advantage of one of their special offers.
