CHELSEA have reportedly slashed their asking price for a shirt sponsor by £35MILLION.
The Blues were forced to unveil their new home kit without a commercial partner on Monday after club chiefs failed to strike a deal.
A disclaimer on the club website read: “Fans should be aware that the 2023-24 home kit that features on pitch may subsequently feature a front-of-shirt partner.”
Chelsea banked £40m-a-year from previous sponsors Three.
The Blues had hoped to agree an even bigger £60m-a-season deal with streaming service Paramount+
However, that was vetoed by Premier League bosses who told them that such a contract would be in breech of the competition’s Deed of License.

They were then in talks with gambling firm Stake, only to end discussions amid fears of fan backlash.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have slashed their asking price to just £25m for a shirt sponsor.
They are also willing to include their women’s team as part of the package.
With the start of the season edging closer, the Blues have enlisted the services of Creative Artists Agency to help with the search.

Nottingham Forest are also currently without a sponsor.
Several clubs in the Premier league’s ‘Big Six’ demand substantial sponsorship fees.
Manchester City have a £67m agreement with Etihad, while Manchester United take £47m from Team Viewer and Liverpool have a £50m deal with Standard Charter.
