CHELSEA are keeping tabs on Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha ahead of the summer transfer window, reports suggest.
Zaha’s contract runs out in June and although Palace have offered him the most lucrative contract in the club’s history, which will see him earn £200,000 per week, he is still likely to become a free agent.
According to The Mail, the Blues are among the clubs eyeing the winger, who has also attracted interest from AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, Marseille and Saudi Arabia.
However, sources close to the West Londoners insist the Stamford Bridge outfit is emerging as a serious contender for the Ivory Coast international’s signature.
Mauricio Pochettino, who poses as the likeliest candidate to become Chelsea’s new manager, is a big admirer of the 30-year-old.
In fact, Pochettino tried to sign Zaha during his five-year stint at Tottenham before he left in 2019.

However, Chelsea fans don’t seem very excited of that prospect because the squad is already filled with forwards.
Todd Boehly has splashed over £500,000million ever since taking over the club’s fortunes last summer and has filled the team with attacking options.
The likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Mason Mount, Noni Madueke, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz are all vying for minutes.
One fan tweeted: “Ah yes, just what they need. More wingers.”

Another posted: “Who is [it]? Is it Pochettino or Boehly?”
A third commented: “They’re gonna keep making the same mistakes aren’t they?”
This fan said: “He’ll only go to a Champions League [club].”
And that one stated: “Downgrade.”
However, selling attackers in the summer is a priority for Chelsea as they want the squad to become more manageable and ensure they fall within Financial Fair Play rules.
