BEHDAD EGHBALI has teased the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea’s new manager.
The club’s co-owner was asked by a fan who the club’s next manager would be after being spotted, with Pochettino believed to be the frontrunner.
He was attending the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory against the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA.
Eghbali is the co-founder and managing partner of Clearlake Capital which bought the Blues last year.
As he was making his way away from the arena, he was spotted by a Chelsea fan who took his chance to ask about the club’s vacant manager role.
They asked: “Who’s the next Chelsea manager?”

He then responded: “Who do you want?”
To which the fan suggested former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique but said: “You’re getting Pochettino right?”
And as Eghbali gave a cheeky wink, he said: “Maybe, maybe.”
The moment was filmed and posted on the Twitter account @ItsMphatso.

Frank Lampard is currently in charge of the team as the interim manager following the sacking of Graham Potter.
However, the club’s fortunes have not improved since the former Brighton boss was relieved of his duties.
The club has been on a diabolical run which has seen them lose their last five games in all competitions and drop to 12th in the Premier League table.
It is thought that Pochettino has given his verbal consent to replacing caretaker boss Frank Lampard at the end of the season.
Chelsea hope to conclude a deal “imminently”, having held previous talks with the likes of Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann.
Poch would not take charge at Stamford Bridge until the summer.
