MAURICIO POCHETTINO wants to help former Tottenham star Dele Alli.
The ex-England ace has fallen from grace since being a key man in the Spurs sides that twice went close to winning the title under Pochettino.
New Chelsea boss Poch said: “I hope to have some time to call and see because he is a great guy and I want to talk a bit with him. I want to help him and see what is going on.”
Midfielder Alli is still only 27 but his career as a top-level footballer already seems to be over. He is surplus to requirements at Everton after a disastrous loan spell at Turkish club Besiktas last season.
There have been questions about his off-the-field lifestyle and in April a photo emerged of him surrounded by canisters of nitrous oxide — or laughing gas.
Poch added: “He’s still young. For sure, he has the mentality.”

Alli turned up at Everton for pre-season training this week and is rebuilding his fitness after injury cut short his spell at Besiktas.
The midfielder was supposedly one of the first senior players to report to Finch Farm for pre-season training on Thursday.
And the former England international was sporting a new hair colour as he got some work in on the exercise bike.
Alli has gone for a bold blue look which hints that he is committed to succeeding at Goodison Park.

Toffees chief Sean Dyche has yet to speak on the future of Alli, which he refused to be drawn on following his appointment as manager.
In April, he said: “He is not here. He has an injury which will keep him out for some time.
“Some of the stuff reported – they know what they should and shouldn’t be doing.
“As a manager, you cannot control everything in their lives.”
