FRENCH paper L’Equipe has torn into Lionel Messi and Neymar after Paris Saint-Germain’s defeat to Bayern Munich last night.
Christophe Galtier’s men fell to a 1-0 loss on home turf via old boy Kingsley Coman’s second-half strike.
Kylian Mbappe was restricted to starting on the bench after a recent injury, but Galtier was able to call upon superstars Messi and Neymar from the start.
But notoriously harsh L’Equipe slammed both of their performances.
The two forwards were handed three out of ten ratings for their meek efforts last night.
Many of their PSG team-mates didn’t do any better – with Marco Verratti, Achraf Hakimi and 16-year-old wonderkid Warren Zaire-Emery also being given threes.

In fact, no PSG player managed to even receive as high a rating as English ref Michael Oliver, who earned a seven.
Gianluigi Donnarumma, Nuno Mendes and Carlos Soler were handed fours and Danilo Pereira a five – while Sergio Ramos and Marquinhos received more creditable sixes.
French Bayern defender Dayot Upamecano came out of the match with the most credit, earning an eight – while Kingsley Coman, Joshua Kimmich and red carded Benjamin Pavard received sevens.
Even some victorious Bayern stars weren’t spared bad ratings, however, with Leroy Sane being slapped with a four and new boy Joao Cancelo only earning a five.

The two sides will meet again on March 8 – and at least a few PSG stars will have to earn higher ratings if they are to overturn their deficit away from home.
Mbappe was called upon in the 57th minute, twice having the ball in the net only to be thwarted by the offside flag.
The forward’s return to the starting XI could be key to PSG producing a comeback next month.
