Rodrygo had given the 14-time European champions the lead after just 16 minutes.

And Bellingham doubled the advantage on the hour mark when he found the bottom corner with a curling finish.

That took his tally to 11 goals in 12 games for the Spanish giants since his summer arrival from Borussia Dortmund.

And even though Alvaro Djalo pulled one back for Braga, Madrid held on in Group C.

That result kept Carlo Ancelotti’s side in top spot with nine points from nine, three ahead of second-placed Napoli.

The Italians moved second after Giacomo Raspadori secured them a 1-0 victory at Union Berlin.

Tempers boiled over at the final whistle in Braga after several of the home players became embroiled in a row with Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger.

Security intervened to escort the former Chelsea ace down the tunnel.

But it was Bellingham once again that everybody will be talking about after his latest stunning performance.

And Ancelotti will be hoping that his new talisman continues his rich vein of form this weekend.

Madrid head to Barcelona on Saturday for the first El Clasico of the campaign in LaLiga.
