Best football weekend away day revealed with Liverpool beating Man Utd while shock team comes out on top in London

LIVERPOOL and Newcastle have crushed the Manchester giants and the London elite in a Premier League table based on the whole away-day experience for fans.

And Bournemouth and Brighton might be day-trip delights for holiday-makers but they seem to be shore losers with many supporters.

That’s according to new data that homes in on a travel hat-trick – ease of getting there, cost and the social scene.

In other words, cheap bars and a close train station are match-winners in this table, all of which left Treble winners but big chargers Manchester City THIRD BOTTOM.

Liverpool’s score of 65 out of 100 pipped the 64.3 for Newcastle on top of the pile.

The Reds roared to victory mainly thanks to having the cheapest match tickets –  just £9 for the upper main stand.

That was good enough to fend off Newcastle’s abundance of bars, cheap pints and famed night-life.

And although each team’s city plays a huge part, capital giants Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea were only in mid-table.

Spurs suffer from being 8.1 miles from London’s central rail terminus at Waterloo in the data compiled by KingCasinoBonus.

Instead, Brentford – just 6.4 miles from Stamford Bridge – flies the flag for London in third place on 63.9.

Wolves came in fourth – courtesy of offering the cheapest city to visit overall, helped by an average hotel price of £88 a night.

And Sheffield United complete the top five – also scoring above 63.

Another major reason Wolves and the Blades  are shining – in this table at least – is that they are both just 0.8miles from the nearest rail station.

The Red Devils are seventh – a place about their position in the “real table” – while Birmingham’s sole Prem representatives Aston Villa are down in tenth.

And Liverpool’s neighbours Everton are only 12th on 53.4 – more than 11 points adrift of neighbours Liverpool.

Burnley paid for their relative lack of facilities with a lowly 14th placing in 14th.

Meanwhile, West Ham are the capital’s worst-performing Prem club, just 17th on 48.4.

Then come Pep Guardiola’s champs, only ahead of the Cherries and the Seagulls.

City charge £5.30 for a pint at the Etihad – a staggering difference from the £3.40 price at Old Trafford.

In fact, City’s amenities were 68 per cent more expensive overall than United’s.

But it’s Brighton who are bottom by far on 27.5 – 19.8 below south coast rivals Bournemouth.

That’s down to costlier hotels and a lack of take-aways, which might encourage both the cruel chant, “Is that all you can takeaway?” and the realistic answer: “At those prices, yes!”

Ionut Marin, Chief Editor of KingCasinoBonus said: The Premier League is one of the most renowned events in football, with fans travelling from across the globe each weekend to cheer on their teams – and some spending a small fortune to do so.

“Big city clubs such as London and Manchester have often been the preferred destinations for fans looking to treat themselves to a weekend of football fun, so it was surprising to find clubs such as Liverpool and Newcastle topping the list.”
