MAURICIO POCHETTINO was awkwardly caught out in a press conference as he seemed to have no idea who the Chelsea players he was being asked about were.
The Argentine manager took over the Blues in the summer and has seen many players come and go from the club this summer.
Chelsea have seen 20 players arrive at Stamford Bridge, while 22 more have left the club.
However, two players have so far stayed put in defender Malang Sarr and goalkeeper Jamie Cumming.
And the player turnover has seemed to have taken its toll on Pochettino, 51, who was not sure who they were when asked about them in a press conference.
During the presser after the win over Luton Town, the Chelsea boss was quizzed by a reporter: “I just wanted to ask about two players who have disappeared. Malang Sarr, who was on loan last season.”

To which Pochettino questioned: “Who?”
The reporter continued: “Malang Sarr, and what has happened to Jamie Cummings who played the game against Wrexham [in the preseason]?”
Pochettino appeared to be confused as he said: “Oh my goodness.”
“Malana Sarr and then Jamie? I don’t know what I can tell you.”

He then defended himself as he was “surprised” by the question.
He added: “I don’t know because you surprised me, it’s like you punch like this.
“Because we were talking about Luton.”
The moment was seen by fans on social media, with many joking about the manager not knowing the players.
One fan Tweeted: “Oi, he doesn’t even know who Malang Sarr is.”
A second wrote: “Bruh 😂.”
A third commented: “Malang Sarr is not real, we all imagined him.”
A fourth joked: “That’s what happens when you sign 381 players😭.”
A fifth said: “Man said whoo🤣🤣🤣🤣.”
While another added: “Chelsea bought too many players that the coach can’t recall some of them.”
Sarr joined Chelsea in 2020 on a five-year deal but has only made eight Premier League appearances.
