ARSENAL star Bukayo Saka suffered a gruesome injury against Everton as he was caught in the eye by Idrissa Gueye.
Saka went down and needed treatment just 17 minutes into the game after being hit by the Toffees midfielder’s trailing arm.
At first glance there appeared to be little contact but replays showed that Gueye’s finger managed to go into the 21-year-old’s eye.
Saka fell to the floor and looked in the pain as he rubbed his left pupil with his shirt.
He eventually got back to his feet and managed to continue playing.
It led to the Everton fans booing Saka every time he got the ball, seemingly unaware of the nasty-looking injury he did actually suffer.

Seeing the England winger soldier on was a huge relief for Mikel Arteta as he looked to maintain his side’s five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the table.
But they came up short and ended up losing 1-0 to a James Tarkowski goal to throw the title race wide open.
There were huge protests at Goodison Park ahead of kick-off that were directed at the Everton board.
A plane even flew over the ground claiming it was the hierarchy’s time to resign.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have their own concerns off the pitch with Arteta urging Saka to sign a new contract at the club with the player’s deal expiring in just 18 months.
He also stressed the club are trying their best to tie William Saliba down to a long-term deal.
They want their two 21-year-olds to commit their futures to Arsenal and follow in the footsteps of Gabriel Martinelli, who penned a £180,000-a-week contract to 2027.
