ARSENAL are leading Manchester United and Newcastle in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, according to reports.
The Gunners were pipped to the Premier League title by Manchester City this season, despite topping the table for 248 days.
Mikel Arteta is now eager to strengthen his squad in a bid to compete for the trophy once again next campaign.
And according to French outlet L’Equipe, Diaby has emerged as a top target.
Arsenal have recently moved themselves into pole position to sign the winger, who is also being monitored by Newcastle and Man Utd.
Paris Saint-Germain are also understood to be interested.

Bayer Leverkusen reportedly want around £65million for Diaby.
However, the Gunners could attempt to negotiate a cheaper deal, with Granit Xhaka already set to join the Bundesliga side this summer.
Arsenal are currently prioritising a move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
The North London side submitted a bid worth £90m on Thursday morning, but it was immediately rejected.

They are now set to go back with another offer worth £100m.
Rice is understood to be eager to move to the Emirates Stadium, with personal terms already agreed.
Arsenal are also interested in signing Kai Havertz this summer.
Chelsea are demanding around £70m for the Germany international, but they could be willing to lower that price tag if a suitable offer is made.
Havertz is reportedly keen on the prospect of a move across London.
