CHELSEA are preparing a £40million bid to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to reports.
The Blues are expected to replace current first team goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy this summer.
Mendy, who started the 2022-23 campaign as Chelsea’s first-choice keeper, has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge due to various injury issues.
The Senegal international rejected a “disrespectful” contract offer from the Blues last year, so he is expected to seek a move away when the transfer window opens.
Meanwhile, Kepa has established himself as a regular in Frank Lampard’s starting line-up.
But with Chelsea understood to be on the hunt for a new No.1, he could be made surplus to requirements.
