EX-MANCHESTER UNITED star Ander Herrera has secured a permanent move to Athletic Bilbao.
That’s after the La Liga outfit activated the option to buy clause that was included in his loan move in the summer.
He’s signed an 18 month contract until 2024.
Herrera is currently in his second spell with Bilbao having had three years there before signing for Manchester United in 2014.
The Spain international would spend five seasons at Old Trafford, winning the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League.
And his form at United landed him a move to PSG, where he enjoyed a successful time of things, lifting seven domestic trophies in three years.

But his permanent switch to Bilbao ends his stay in the French capital.
Although his move helped out Nottingham Forest in their pursuit of PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
That’s because Herrera’s transfer allowed the Ligue 1 leaders to loan Navas out to the City Ground.
And FIFA rules state that clubs can’t have more than eight players over the age of 21 loaned out at the same time with PSG already at the limit.

Herrera has registered one assist in 11 games since returning in August.
Bilbao are currently ninth in La Liga, but are in the semi-finals of the Copa de Rey and have a winnable tie against Osasuna on the horizon, with the winners playing Barcelona or Real Madrid.
