Tyson Fury called out by forgotten heavyweight Mahmoud Charr after being ordered into title fight with Jarrell Miller

TYSON FURY has been called out by forgotten heavyweight Mahmoud Charr following the announcement of his title fight.

Daniel Dubois formerly held the WBA’s secondary “regular” belt until he unified it with Oleksandr Usyk’s full version.

Usyk prevailed to also retain his IBF and WBO straps but the WBA have since ordered Charr to fight Jarrell Miller for their trinket title.

The pair are now set to contend for the gold in either Nigeria or Las Vegas and Charr has set his sights on fighting Fury afterwards.

He told Sky Sports: “I will beat Miller and want to move to Tyson Fury.

“Fury and me, it will be the best fight right now in heavyweight entertainment.

“I am always looking to fight the best, this is Fury right now.”

Miller, 35, was banned for two years following two separate doping scandals but he has had three comeback bouts since.

Charr, 38, meanwhile had four years out from 2017-2021 but he has a trio of wins to his name also.

Despite eyeing Fury, 35, in the future the veteran heavyweight insisted Anthony Joshua, 33, does not fall in his plans.

Charr added: “Many people tell me, fight Anthony Joshua after that. Really I am not interested in fighting him.

“I want legacy. If want to be the best, I need to beat the best. Tyson Fury is my focus, nothing else.

“I know AJ is money but money doesn’t attract me. Legacy is the goal.”
