TOMMY FURY has hit out at critics slamming him for leaving his newborn baby to go and fight Jake Paul last month.
The former Love Island star left then three-week-old baby Bambi behind with long-term girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague to jet off to the Middle East for their grudge match.
Fury’s painful decision to leave his first child behind was criticised by some, who claimed his priorities weren’t in the right place.
But the 23-year-old insists Bambi’s future was at the forefront of his mind when he went and boxed for a multi-million-pound payday.
During an appearance on Loose Women, TNT said: “I’m not bothered about anyone’s opinion, to be honest.
“As long as my family and my missus and my children think I’m doing alright, that’s all that matters to me.

“And people can say what they want, but I’m away for her, to make sure she has a better future.”
The decision to leave his bundle of joy weighed heavy on Fury, who admitted: “It was very tough there was a lot going on in this build-up to this.
“Obviously, Bambi, my little girl, was born six weeks ago. So I was kind of having a lot of FaceTime calls.
‘But I was constantly switching trying to be a fighting, aggressive man getting ready for war and then trying to be the daddy, trying to split myself into a million pieces.

“And you just can’t do it, so there was a lot of phone calls, a lot of conversations but we got through it.”
Fury’s sacrifice proved to be worth it as he beat Paul via split decision and banked millions of pounds.
A summer rematch with Paul is reportedly in the works, with Fury confident he’ll win the bout in a more emphatic fashion.
He said: “I believe in the rematch I will stop him.
“You know [in] the first fight I’ve never been eight rounds before so you’re just a bit weary of what’s in your tank and how the fight is going to go.
“But I’ve now been in the ring with him once, I know what to expect.”
