Ring Magazine top 10 heavyweight boxers revealed but does Tyson Fury fall and is there space for Francis Ngannou?


THE Ring Magazine have updated their heavyweight rankings in the wake of Tyson Fury’s controversial win over Francis Ngannou.

Fury left Saudi Arabia with a disputed points decision and his undefeated record intact.

It also meant an undisputed title decider against Oleksandr Usyk is remains on but faces being moved from December to February.

As Usyk, 36, is the Ring Magazine’s champion when he fights Fury, 35, the prestigious title will be on the line.

Following Ngannou’s stunning performance, the WBC are said to be considering ranking him in the top ten.

But, the 37-year-old does not make it into the Ring’s ratings.

Former WBC champion Deontay Wilder, 38, is the second ranked contender with Joshua, 34, one place behind.

Those standings could change if the pair manage to get a deal over the line to fight each other.

Zhilei Zhang, 40, is fourth following his April win over eighth-placed Joe Joyce, 37, who also lost their September rematch.

Joseph Parker, 31, is up to fifth following his win on Fury’s undercard.

And Filip Hrgovic, 31, sits sixth on the cusp of an IBF world title shot.

He is mandated to face Otto Wallin, 32, in a final eliminator next with the Swedish contender cracking into tenth in the Ring’s list.

Canelo Alvarez’s former heavyweight sparring partner Frank Sanchez, 31, creeps into ninth place in the ratings.
