JOE CORDINA will put his undefeated record and IBF super featherweight world title on the line against Edward Vazquez on Saturday night.
It will be the Welshman’s first title defence after he reclaimed the belt by beating Shavkat Rakhimov in April.
The IBF stripped Cordina of the super featherweight belt shortly after he first claimed it when he knocked out then-champion Kenichi Ogawa back in June 2022
He lost the belt due to being unable to defend the title in the original bout against mandatory challenger Rakhimov following a gruesome hand injury.
Now, though, Cordina is IBF super featherweight champion once again and will face the unbeaten Vasquez in Monte Carlo this weekend.
