EDDIE HEARN has warned Deontay Wilder against facing Francis Ngannou in anything other than boxing.
The former UFC champion is being tipped to face boxing’s biggest name following his debut against Tyson Fury last weekend.
Ngannou shocked the world as he knocked down the Gypsy King before losing a controversial split decision.
Anthony Joshua could be in line to fight Ngannou next, with Wilder also in the mix.
The American has even teased a potential MMA or mixed rules bout with the new heavyweight contender.
However, Hearn has told Wilder it would be bad idea to fight Ngannou outside of a boxing ring.

“It’s madness, have you seen his legs?” he told Boxing Social. “If Ngannou kicks those legs, they will snap in two.
“I think Wilder should stick to the boxing and I think he should just have a boxing fight, he hasn’t boxed for over a year.
“Hopefully that could be [against] AJ, or he may end up getting the fight with Ngannou, who knows?
“We want to see Wilder back in the ring, not in the cage, because I’m not sure how that would go.”

Wilder had looked set to fight Joshua before talks between the two camps collapsed.
Meanwhile, Hearn has put forward the idea of Joshua and Ngannou fighting in the “Rumble in the Jungle 2”.
He has even claimed that the bout is being lined up for this Christmas as the Brit looks to remain active.
Joshua has already fought twice in 2023, with a decision win over Jermaine Franklyn Jr. and a knockout victory against Robert Helenius.
