Wallin has won all six of his fights since, but only one has come via knockout and he has not looked anywhere near the threat he did against Fury in Las Vegas.

Joshua, 34, could be elevated into a mandatory position to fight for the IBF title, currently held by Oleksandr Usyk.

Wilder, 38, will be fighting Joseph Parker on the same ‘Day of Reckoning’ fightcard.

AJ and Wilder have been tipped to have their own fight in 2024.

Now BBC boxing expert Steve Bunce has claimed that their fight could be announced tonight at 12.15am in the UK.

He had suggested that the heavyweight clash will take place in Saudi Arabia on March 9, 2024.

He told BBC Breakfast: “If they both win it will be announced probably by 3.15am Saudi time, 12.15am UK.

“This boxing business never ceases to amaze me and I live in amazing times.”

Bunce gave his thoughts on tonight’s fights as he insisted that Wallin could be an “incredibly hard” fight for Joshua.

He also suggested that Wilder could struggle against Parker due to his absence from the ring over the past two years.

He added: “I think it’s some sort of a 49-51 and a 50-50. I think Joshua against Wallin is incredibly hard. I just like the look of what I’ve seen from Joshua this week, I like what’s in his eyes, I like what’s in his words.

“I’ve been interviewing him for about 12 years or so. He did something to me a couple of days ago, when he was talking to me just before he said goodbye, he put his hand on my shoulder and he said, ‘Steve I’ll be OK.’

“He hasn’t done that since before he fought Wladimir Klitschko. I fancy Joshua to do his.

“The odd one is the Wilder fight against this New Zealander Joseph Parker, who is based in Morecambe and trains with Tyson Fury.

“Wilder has fought two minutes, 57 seconds in two years and three months. Parker is just a strong good guy, a former world champion himself. That’s the jeopardy.”
