WEST HAM are keeping an eye on developments with giant French centre-half Dan-Axel Zagadou.
The 6ft 5in former Borussia Dortmund star is a free agent after a couple of injury hit seasons in the Bundesliga.
And he is currently talking to several clubs.
Jose Mourinho’s Roma and Inter Milan have been looking into offering the 23-year-old a deal if they can sort out the salary.
But Irons boss David Moyes, who is desperate for defensive reinforcements, is also interested.
And the Scot see Zagadou as a perfect squad man — but also an ideal replacement if Issa Diop, 25, leaves.

Diop is the subject of an offer from London rivals, and Premier League newboys, Fulham.
Zagadou was a top-rated defender before a series of injury problems.
He joined Dortmund from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
And the centre-back ended up with four goals in 92 appearances.

Zagadou could slot straight into West Ham’s side following Nayef Aguerd’s ankle surgery last month.
But Mourinho’s Roma are also a tempting prospect after completing exciting deals for Paulo Dybala and Gini Wijnaldum.
The Special One also hopes to land Italy international Andrea Belotti, who was offered to West Ham before they signed Gianluca Scamacca.
