RANGERS players joined the Ibrox crowd in an emotional rendition of the National Anthem before their match with Napoli kicked off tonight.
It was revealed earlier this afternoon that Rangers were going to pay tribute to The Queen with an enormous tifo covering the entire Broomloan stand.
And The Union Bears delivered with a spectacular display to pay their respects to her majesty, who sadly passed away aged 96 last Thursday.
Uefa banned UK clubs from singing the national anthem before their Champions League fixtures as they didn’t want the kick-off times delayed.
They instead decided stadiums could take part in a minute’s silence and players would wear black armbands during the matches.
But after Rangers were urged to defy the Uefa ban, Gio van Bronckhost’s side decided to take a stance and pay their respect to The Queen and allow the players and fans to unite in singing “God save the King” before kick-off.
A statement from the club, posted on Twitter earlier today read: “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be honoured this evening at Ibrox with a minute’s silence, a display created by the Union Bears, and a rendition of the Nation Anthem.
“If you are attending tonight’s match, we encourage all supporters to be in their seat for 19:50.”
Both marks of tribute were carried out perfectly with not a single peep heard during the minute’s silence.
The Rangers stars then immediately joined the emotional Ibrox crowd in belting out the National Anthem once the ref blew his whistle to end the silence.

It was a brilliant tribute to The Queen, who was greatly admired by many sections of the Rangers support.
Both sets of players are wearing black armbands in respect to The Queen during the Champions League fixture, as Uefa advised before this week’s round of fixtures.
Tonight’s match was originally scheduled to take place yesterday alongside the other game between Liverpool and Ajax elsewhere in the group.
But it was pushed back 24 hours because of the high demand of police needed for The Queen’s escort from Scotland to England yesterday.
