HOLLYWOOD star Ryan Reynolds finally witnessed a Wrexham victory in person as the actor and football owner invaded the pitch at the end of their match against Stockport.

Striker Paul Mullin struck a stoppage time brace to hand Wrexham a dramatic 2-0 win in the FA Trophy semi-finals and end Stockport’s 21-match unbeaten run.

They will now face Bromley in the final as they return to Wembley for the first time since 2015.

And Reynolds was buzzing to be there for a Wrexham win at the third time of asking having previously seen them lose and draw.

He took over with fellow actor friend Rob McElhenney in February 2021.

Matchwinner Mullin, who has scored 19 goals in 29 games since arriving from League One side Cambridge United, was their first signing as owners of the club and Reynolds sprinted straight over to him when the final whistle went.

Reynolds then took to Twitter after the win, adding: “Seeing this in person was a top ten life moment for me. Thank you, Wrexham.”

Reflecting on the game, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said: “There was a bit of edginess in the first half and some uncharacteristic errors from both sides, but there was a lot at stake.
