Gareth Southgate is on the brink of history, having led England to the final of Euro 2020, only face the agony of losing on penalties to Italy.

They have booked their place for the World Cup in Qatar later this year with a dominant unbeaten performance in their qualifying group.

England won eight games and drew two of their ten games in Group I and conceded just three goals.

Their next match sees the visit of a strong Switzerland side to Wembley on Saturday March 26, for a 5:30pm kick-off.

The Swiss, led by former Liverpool star Xherdan Shaqiri, qualified for the World Cup by topping their group ahead of European Champions Italy.
